Below you will find answers to some of the commonly asked questions from us to help you understand about our services and products better.
SSS International only offers Advance Payment method for Foreign Trade Transactions, and for Domestic Trade, we prefer partial payment in advance. We understand that Advance Payment method may not be an attractive option for you as an importer, however, as we mainly export perishable products we cannot offer other payment terms like Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections since using these terms will postpone the collection of goods as there is a significant amount of time involved in the processing of documents by the banks. This delay will result in no longer fresh produce.
We cannot also accept post payment of consignment as this method involves high-risk for us and it is not supported by the State Bank of Pakistan. Advance Payment is a requirement for the approval of Electronic Form-E, which is an essential document for making a shipment. Another reason why we do not offer other payment methods is the cost involved with them, which can increase the prices of goods.
We offer all fruits and vegetables produced in Pakistan for export. In addition to this, we also export other food items, as per the requirements of importer. You can contact us with your product requirements, and we will be glad to assist you.
SSS International uses both modes of transit, Air Freight and Sea Freight, for shipping of goods. Choosing whether to use Air Freight or Sea Freight depends on a few factors like the lifetime of the produce and cost. Since we mainly export perishable goods and the lifetime of the fresh-produces is short, Air Freight is often our preferred mode of transportation because of its quick transit time. However, there are many exceptions to this, like bananas, which tend to travel on ship due to their long ripening process. If the importer of the goods has a preference for the mode of transportation, we will usually consider using their preferred mode.
